Maintenance Electrician Job Summary
A local manufacturer is looking for a Maintenance Electrician to join their team. This position focuses on the repair, installation, and preventive maintenance of electrical and mechanical systems within a manufacturing environment. The Maintenance Electrician plays a key role in ensuring machinery, electrical systems, and safety programs function efficiently and comply with relevant standards.
Maintenance Electrician Responsibilities
- Perform preventive and predictive maintenance on equipment as scheduled through CMMS
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems on injection press and coating machinery
- Service electrical systems up to 480VAC and complete electrical installations
- Interpret machine schematics and technical drawings to diagnose system faults
- Troubleshoot PLC and control systems
- Coordinate maintenance and service of facility electrical infrastructure with contractors and internal teams
- Maintain and train personnel on electrical safety standards, including arc flash protocols
- Record and update maintenance activities accurately in CMMS
- Practice good housekeeping and maintain clean, organized work areas following 5S principles
- Follow all health, safety, and environmental policies and procedures
- Supervise and support electrical apprentices as needed
Maintenance Electrician Qualifications
- Licensed Master Electrician with strong mechanical and hydraulic troubleshooting abilities
- Skilled in working independently and solving complex electrical issues under minimal supervision
- Proficient in reading and interpreting electrical schematics and machine documentation
- Experienced in conduit layout, wire sizing, grounding, and load calculation
- Able to operate forklifts, scissor lifts, and other maintenance equipment
- Effective communicator with good interpersonal and organizational skills
- Basic math skills and CMMS proficiency for scheduling and documentation
- Physically capable of lifting up to 50 lbs and performing work that involves climbing, kneeling, or crouching
- Willing to work in a manufacturing environment using appropriate PPE
Schedule & Pay:
- 7am-3pm (1st shift), Monday-Friday
- 3pm-11pm (2nd shift) Monday-Friday
- 11pm-7am (3rd shift), Monday-Friday
$28-$35/hour DOE
