Our high-service aesthetic oculofacial plastic surgery office is looking for an energetic, well-groomed, outgoing, personable, and hard-working front desk Medical Receptionist with at least 2 years of experience working in a medical office. Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, 8a - 5p.

The ideal candidate is a self-starter, patient-centered, and exhibits strong ability to work in a team-based environment. This position is the first face and voice interaction with our clients/patients, both in person and over the phone, managing appointment requests and fielding questions, so quality patient care is very important. A successful candidate will be able to juggle multiple duties while remaining calm and providing excellent customer service.

Job Duties Include:

  • Answering phone and screening incoming phone calls in a professional manner
  • Greeting and checking in patients to ensure that they are comfortable in the waiting area
  • Collecting insurance information accurately and calculating / collecting out of pocket costs
  • Checking out patients and processing payments
  • Scheduling and confirming patient appointments
  • Managing and overseeing the direction and flow of patients to ensure the daily schedule runs efficiently and on time
  • Ensuring patient information is updated and complete in computer
  • Keeping front reception area organized, clean, and well stocked
  • Assisting clients with skincare product purchases
  • Scanning forms and documents as necessary
  • Stocking office supplies

Job Requirements:

  • 2+ years of experience working as a receptionist in a plastic surgery, cosmetic dermatology or medical spa office preferred
  • Proactive and enthusiastic about taking initiative
  • Demonstrates a consistent collaborative and positive attitude
  • High attention to detail and accuracy, as well as verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work well under pressure, multi-task and meet deadlines without excessive supervision
  • High level of professionalism and confidentiality
  • Accountable and able to receive feedback well
  • Willing to adapt to changes in workflow
  • Have the ability to learn the in-office electronic medical practice management system for scheduling, checking patients in and out, accepting payments, etc.
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Desire and ability to help maintain a pleasant, team oriented atmosphere
  • Must maintain a professional appearance and grooming at all times
  • Fast and accurate typing skills 45 wpm or faster
  • Excellent computer proficiency with Microsoft Windows, Chrome, Word, Gmail
  • Familiarity with local insurance plans is a plus

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $18.00 - $24.00 per hour

Expected hours: 24 – 26 per week
