Full time – Temp to hire

Monday to Friday – 8:30am to 5pm

The nation’s largest supplier of structural building products, value-added components and services to the professional market for new residential construction and repair and remodeling with a focus on providing unparalleled service to both large and small customers, is seeking a Customer Service/Yard Worker to join their team in Burbank.

Summary: Will perform a variety of yard activities including operating a forklift to move product and material throughout the yard and provide customer service.

Responsibilities:

• Assist customers in the location and loading of product.
• Review materials loaded against invoice or requisition; completes and routes paperwork appropriately.
• Move product/material throughout the yard ensuring placement in correct areas. 
• Ensure product/material is well stocked of inventory at all times.
• Perform routine cleanup of yard.
• Understand and observe all safety procedures and practices.
• Attends periodic safety meetings as required; may recommend changes to improve safety procedures.
• Other duties may be assigned.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED)
• Six months’ experience warehouse / forklift experience. 
• Requires OSHA Forklift Certification.
• Ability to operate motorized and non-motorized material handling equipment.
• Knowledge of safety procedures while performing tasks.
• Strong customer service skills.
• Knowledge of company products/inventory available at work location.
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
• Ability to read and understand invoices and requisitions.
