Wood Fabricator $20+

Located in Canton, MA

Our client has designed, fabricated and installed fencing for years throughout the New England area for residential homes, commercial businesses, municipalities, as well as state and federal agencies.
They are growing and need to hire for their production team; must be comfortable fabricating custom wood and/or PVC products, such as but not limited to fence panels, gates, posts, and other unique materials and products. The use of various hand and power tools and other tools as required. Wood or PVC Product Fabrication: 1 year minimum preferred.

Full-time, Monday-Friday, 8:am-4:30pm.

Pay is $19-25/hour, DOE.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:
· Reads, interprets, follows plans and blueprints to produce custom products within tolerances and specifications.
· Safely and effectively operates power saws, routers, and needed hand tools of various sizes to customize materials and products.
· Loads and adjusts workpieces onto equipment or worktables.
· Measures and marks equipment, objects, or parts to ensure specifications and standards are met.
· Manufactures panels or other materials through grinding, sanding, polishing, etc. to prepare and finish surfaces using needed tools and equipment.
· Verifies quality of finished workpieces by inspecting them, comparing them to templates or measuring their dimensions.
· Work with team to ask for help when needed and provide feedback as required.
· Transfers finished objects to specified work areas, using moving devices.
· Build custom products using tools and equipment as needed.
· Follows all company policies and procedures and ensures safe work environment.
· Display a sense of urgency towards completing assigned tasks.
· Demonstrated ability to follow instructions from Production Manager.·
Ability to handle high dust environment and wear safety mask if/ when needed.
· Ability to visually differentiate between colors and textures.
· Ability to work in a dynamic, high paced environment.
· Assist in other areas of the shop as needed or directed.
· Be on time and present for work daily.
· Take responsibility for getting the work done in a timely manner.
