Supply Chain Inventory Manager
A growing organization is seeking a highly skilled Supply Chain Inventory Manager to oversee demand planning, forecasting, procurement, and inventory management across a diverse product portfolio. This pivotal role will ensure optimal inventory levels to achieve a 95%+ order fill rate while minimizing excess stock and driving operational excellence.
Pay: $95k plus bonuses
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and manage accurate demand forecasts based on sales trends, market conditions, and promotions.
Collaborate with sales, marketing, and operations teams to refine planning inputs.
Place timely purchase orders and maintain strong communication with domestic and international suppliers.
Manage inventory across multiple warehouses to balance availability and cost-effectiveness.
Maintain performance metrics, analyze inventory KPIs, and drive improvements in order fulfillment and stock optimization.
Leverage ERP systems, forecasting tools, and data dashboards for informed decision-making.
Proactively identify and mitigate risks such as supplier delays and market shifts.
Recommend and implement process improvements to strengthen supply chain performance.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Finance, Logistics, or a related field.
5+ years of experience in supply chain, inventory planning, or procurement roles, preferably within manufacturing or distribution.
Expertise in ERP systems (such as Infor, SAP, NetSuite) and advanced Excel skills.
Strong analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
Proven ability to manage complex inventories across multi-regional networks.
Ability to adapt and thrive in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
APICS or CPIM certification.
Experience working with international suppliers, especially in Asia.
Background in industries such as automotive, industrial equipment, or durable goods.
Success Metrics:
Achieving and maintaining a 95%+ order fill rate.
Preventing unexpected stockouts on key SKUs.
Optimizing inventory between East and West Coast distribution centers.
Strengthening supplier reliability and reducing lead time variability.
Work Environment:
Professional office setting with occasional visits to warehouse environments (PPE required).
Standard office equipment usage; occasional lifting (up to 20 pounds) may be required.
Some travel may be necessary.
