Schedule: Monday – Friday (Overtime Available)

Position Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Machinist with strong manual machining experience and advanced Mazatrol CNC programming abilities to join our growing team. This role is ideal for a precision-focused professional who can confidently operate manual equipment while programming, setting up, and running CNC mills and lathes independently.

The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, mechanically inclined, and experienced in tight-tolerance machining in both prototype and production environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Program CNC mills and lathes using Mazatrol (high proficiency required)

• Set up, operate, and troubleshoot CNC machining operations

• Operate manual lathes and Bridgeport mills as needed

• Machine parts to tight tolerances and verify quality using precision inspection tools

• Read and interpret blueprints, CAD models, engineering drawings, and work orders

• Perform routine maintenance on machines and tooling

• Inspect finished parts using calipers, micrometers, gauges, and other measuring equipment

• Troubleshoot machining issues and adjust offsets, tooling, or programs as necessary

• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment

• Collaborate with engineering and production teams to improve processes and efficiency

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 3+ years of machining experience (manual machining required)

• Strong proficiency programming CNC machines using Mazatrol (mandatory)

• Experience operating both CNC mills and CNC lathes independently

• Skilled in operating manual lathes and Bridgeport mills

• Ability to machine parts to tight tolerances

• Strong blueprint reading and GD&T interpretation skills

• Solid understanding of machining practices, tooling, feeds, and speeds

• Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving ability

• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in both prototyping and production machining

• Technical school or machining certification

• Experience optimizing programs for efficiency and cycle time reduction

• Familiarity with lean manufacturing environments
