Position Overview:

We are seeking a Construction Volunteer Coordinator to join our team. If you're passionate about customer service and have experience in a front office setting, we'd love to hear from you!

Job Duties:

• Be a welcoming, approachable, and supportive presence for everyone working on  work sites, networking events, and any other affiliate represented events.  
• Meets with site construction and repair project leadership before the start of each workday to understand what the focuses will be for the volunteers and “homeowners to be” on that site on that day.
• Answers questions and reaches out to construction leadership for clarification as required.  Provides mediation support when required between volunteers, construction site leadership, homeowners to be.  
• Helping with maintenance and builds on homes and yards for the elderly.
• Part time - 30 hours a week / Extra $1k a year if bilingual English/Spanish.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent with minimum two years’ experience in collaborative work environments.  
• Practical experience and a history of positive experiences in volunteer engagement, recruitment, coordination, and retention would be extremely helpful.
• This job requires the candidate to be good with motivating people but also handy with tools. Will be taught how to repair things by the Home Preservation Coordinator. Will be helping the Preservation person build fences, stairs, ect. if volunteers do not show up.

Required:

• 1–2 years of customer service experience.
• Handy with tools

Physical Requirements:

Ability to consistently lift 25+ lbs.

Must be able to bend, sit, stand, and lift office supplies or materials.
