Inventory/Warehouse Associate

We are currently seeking an Inventory/Warehouse Associate. Collaborates directly with department Supervisors/Managers to maintain accurate inventory, pull kits and issue materials to the manufacturing work centers based on our production schedules. Effectively maintains inventory levels using the inventory management system.
Essential Functions
- Maintains and stocks inventory in a neat and organized manner ensuring all parts are clearly identified in bins, boxes or otherwise. Routes items to appropriate departments and/or inventory stocking areas. May use a dolly, pallet jack or forklift to move heavy parts and materials. Use box truck to deliver or pick up parts.
- Pulls parts from stock for kits and routes to the manufacturing floor.
- Performs cycle counts noting discrepancies between physical counts and computer records. Reports findings to Supervisor and makes improvements to processes and controls.
- Maintains accurate inventory records and performs data entry as appropriate or requested.
- Interacts closely with Receiving and other department Leads / Supervisors to ensure they have the parts needed to meet production deadlines.
Inventory Associate I - Entry level. Learns and performs basic tasks under close supervision while exercising minimal discretion. Demonstrates ability to learn and master new inventory tasks. Achieves productivity and quality standards.
Inventory Associate II - All of the above, plus: Demonstrates mastery of certain specified inventory tasks. Works under limited supervision. Exercises discretion and independent judgment within defined boundaries. Works effectively using inventory computer records. Meets or exceeds productivity and quality standards. Is cross-trained and is competent to train others.
Inventory Associate III - All of the above, plus: Demonstrates advanced mastery of a substantial number of inventory tasks. Works well with minimal supervision. Exercises discretion, independent judgment and problem-solving skills. Should be fully cross-trained and is competent to train others.
May serve as a Lead or backup. Future promotion to Lead, Supervisor, or Manager is earned based on knowledge, experience, performance, leadership and ability to take on more responsibility.
Education & Experience
- High School Diploma or Equivalent (certificate from technical training institute is desirable).
- 1+ years' experience in inventory or warehouse, preferably with a manufacturing company.
- Must be competent in using a computer to perform inventory-related work.
- Valid drivers license.
