CNC Set Up/ Programmer/ Operator

Salary: $28-$31 /hr

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented CNC Lathe Set Up and Operator on behalf of a client in Davis County. In this role, you will be responsible for the programming, setup, operation, and maintenance of the CNC lathe machine to produce high-quality, precision parts. This position is ideal for an individual who thrives in an environment focused on small batch production with significant setup requirements and possesses a strong understanding of machining specifications.

 RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Reviewing samples, drawings or instructions to understand specifications of output
• Programming, operating and maintaining a CNC Lathe machine
• Planning the sequence of necessary actions for the completion of a job
• Taking measurements and marking material for cutting or shaping
• Determining and programming size of batches and speed of machines
• Checking output to ensure consistency with specifications and discard defects
• Shop is not large runs of parts, but 1-10 of the same part. Significant setup time required.
• Changeover and setup machine for operation

REQUIREMENTS:

• 2+years of experience as a CNC Set Up/Programmer
• Ability to operate Mill + Lathe (Haas & Doosan experience preferred)
• Ability to program equipment using Fanuc G code
• Experience using FeatureCam
• Ability to drill, tap and de-bur various parts
• Ability to read calipers and tape measures
• Knowledge of the properties of metal and other materials
• Proficient in math skills
• Knowledge of shop & machine safety standards and use of protective gear & clothing (face-shield, gloves etc.)
• Ability to perform without difficulty and great attention to detail with goal-driven attitude.
• Ability to stand and walk up to 75% of shift and lift a maximum of 50lbs.
• Employee must be dependable and capable of working overtime hours as needed.
• Adhere to OSHA and Company Safety Standards and Requirements.

 

Schedule: Monday-Friday, Days 6am-230pm, OT as needed
