Are you skilled with a cutting torch and looking for a hands-on job in a fast-paced outdoor environment? Join a local metal recycling and scrapping facility as a Torch Operator, where your work plays a critical role in processing and preparing metal for recycling.

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Cut Scrap Metal to Size: Use an oxy-fuel cutting torch to cut large pieces of scrap metal down to 3-inch segments for processing.

  • Work Outdoors: This is an outdoor position—you’ll be working in all weather conditions year-round.

  • Follow Safety Procedures: Adhere to strict safety standards while handling cutting tools and working around heavy materials and machinery.

  • Assist the Yard Team: Support the flow of materials through the scrapping process as needed.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Torch Experience: Prior experience using an oxy-acetylene cutting torch is required.

  • Physically Capable: Must be able to lift heavy materials, stand for extended periods, and work in physically demanding environments.

  • All-Weather Worker: Comfortable working outdoors in heat, cold, rain, or snow.

  • Reliable & Hardworking: You show up on time, stay focused, and take pride in doing the job right.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED

  • Previous experience in scrap metal or industrial settings a plus

  • Strong work ethic and commitment to safety
