Roles & Responsibilities:
- Manage full-cycle bookkeeping, including accounts payable and receivable, payroll, and general ledger entries.
- Reconcile bank statements and financial accounts monthly.
- Prepare and maintain financial statements and reports.
- Process payroll, including tax remittances and benefits administration.
- Manage and file GST, PST, and other tax returns.
- Assist with budget preparation and financial planning.
- Ensure compliance with all financial regulations and company policies.
- Collaborate with external accountants for year-end audits and tax filings.
Experience and Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in full-cycle bookkeeping.
- 1 to 2 years in AR and AP and Payroll role
- Educational Background in Accounting or Business Administration
- Strong understanding of Canadian accounting principles and tax regulations
- Proficiency with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, or similar).
- Proficient in computer usage with a strong sense of practicality
- Keen eye for accuracy and meticulous attention to detail
- Capable of working independently and meeting strict deadlines
- Skilled in reconciling accounts and following instructions diligently
- Demonstrates sound judgment and maintains professional integrity
- Proven ability to calculate, post, and manage accounting figures and financial records effectively
- Highly organized with a structured approach to tasks
- Strong verbal and written communication skills for effective collaboration
