Job Title: Sandblaster Operator

 

Experience, Education, Skills & Knowledge Requirements:

• No prior experience required
• Familiarity with hand tools and compressors is a plus
• 1st Shift: 6am-230pm M-F 
• 2nd Shift: 3pm-1am M-TH.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Use sandblasting equipment to abrade the surfaces of turbocharger components, removing scale, sand, paint, grease, tar, rust, and dirt, and applying the specified finish.
• Operate equipment by inserting arms through glove-fitted cabinet openings and manipulating parts under the nozzle for a designated time.
• Examine and inspect finished parts to ensure they meet specifications.
• Load and organize inventory in the workspace.
• Maintain cleanliness of shop equipment and the work area.
• Mask specific areas of components to protect them from the abrasive action.
• Record daily production totals accurately.
• Determine necessary resources and report needs to the leader.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
