Tooling Technician $24-$35/hr.

JOB SUMMARY

Ensure internal and external mold preventive maintenance and repairs are performed within standards, safety and budget. Measure and document efficiencies and effectiveness of injection molding tool maintenance, repair and retrofits.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Perform preventive maintenance on injection molds.
• Perform basic mold repairs as directed by supervisor, including ejector pins and cores.
• Coordinate external repairs and preventive maintenance.
• Root cause analysis for mold repairs.
• Promote safe and 5S working environment.
• Promote continuous improvements.

QUALIFICATIONS

• 2-3 years plastic injection mold maintenance and repair experience required.
• High school diploma/ GED required.
• Technical training certification/ A.A a plus.
• Understanding/skills to machine, bench, fit and spot.
• Experience with mills, Bridgeport's, lathes, surface grinders, drill presses, and saws
• Proficient bench repair, assembly, machinery, drawings, design, welding and heat treating.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
• Self-starter and self-motivated.
• Must be able to perform tool evaluations.
• Basic computer skills with knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word.
• Must have valid drivers license to operate forklifts.
