Location: Various locations across WNC (routes assigned)
Schedule: Part-Time | Temporary Project
Pay: $18.00/hr + $0.65/mile for mileage reimbursement

Job Overview:

An independent organization is seeking reliable individuals between ages 21–25 for a temporary secret shopper project focused on alcohol and tobacco compliance. This role helps ensure local businesses are following the law by properly checking IDs when selling age-restricted products.

Ideal for someone detail-oriented and looking to make some extra money while supporting community compliance efforts.

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Visit assigned gas stations, convenience stores, grocery stores, and restaurants

• Attempt to purchase alcohol or cigarettes (no money exchanged, no product taken)

• Observe whether employees check your identification

• Hand the employee a green card if they check your ID

• Hand a red card if they fail to check your ID

• Log your results and upload reports online at the end of your route

What We’re Looking For:

• Must be between the ages of 21 and 25

• Must have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation

• Ability to follow instructions and maintain professionalism during visits

• Comfortable using a smartphone or computer to submit results

• Strong attention to detail and ability to stay objective
