Electro-Mechanical Field Service Technician

Direct Hire Position | Up to $28/Hour | 6:30 AM – 3:30 PM | Springfield, OH

Join our team as a field service technician providing critical support to industrial customers throughout the region. This role offers variety, autonomy, and the opportunity to apply your technical expertise across diverse work environments and equipment types.

Position Overview

As a field service technician, you'll travel to customer facilities to install, diagnose, and repair industrial equipment. Your work will include troubleshooting and servicing motors, generators, pumps, gearboxes, transformers, and switchgear. You'll conduct diagnostic testing, analyze data, identify root causes, and implement effective solutions. Direct customer interaction is a key component of this role—you'll communicate technical findings clearly, complete repairs efficiently, and ensure customer satisfaction. The position requires transporting tools and equipment (up to 50 lbs) using a company-provided van and traveling to various industrial sites throughout the region.

Required Qualifications

Experience & Skills:

• 3–5 years of hands-on electro-mechanical experience in field service or industrial shop environments
• Advanced electrical troubleshooting abilities, including 480V three-phase systems, motor controls, and component-level diagnostics
• Strong mechanical aptitude with expertise in bearings, alignment, seals, and couplings
• Proficiency with diagnostic equipment including multimeters, meggers, and computer-based testing tools
• Valid driver's license with clean driving record (company vehicle provided)
