Express Employment is hiring for a Food Manufacturer/ Overnight Sanitation Worker to team up with our client in the Pleasant Hills area! 

 

1st and 3rd shift available  

Starting pay - $16.00/hr - $17.00/hr 

Monday-Friday 4:30am - 1:30pm

Monday-Friday 9pm - 4am 

 

Key Responsibilities Food  Manufacturer: 

• Operate and maintain enrobers to apply coatings and icings to protein bars, ensuring consistent product quality.

• Monitor product quality and adhere to strict food safety and sanitation standards.

• Assist in the melt room, melting chocolate and other coatings, while maintaining proper temperature and consistency.

• Perform basic equipment maintenance and troubleshoot minor mechanical issues.

• Ensure accurate documentation of production data and quality control checks.

• Handle raw materials, including lifting bags and containers (up to 50 lbs).

• Work collaboratively with other team members to meet production goals and maintain a clean, organized workspace.

• Participate in cross-functional training to support various areas of production as needed.

 

Key Responsibilities Overnight Sanitation Worker:

• Thoroughly clean and sanitize all production equipment and machinery according to company and industry standards.

• Clean and disinfect floors, walls, and surfaces in the production and facility areas.

• Perform routine sanitation tasks before, during, and after production shifts.

• Properly handle and store cleaning chemicals and equipment.

• Adhere to safety procedures and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).

• Complete sanitation logs and documentation as required.

Qualifications:

• Prior experience in food manufacturing or related production environment is preferred.

• Familiarity with enrobing equipment, chocolate melting, or confectionery processes is a plus.

• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality control.

• Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English

• Ability to work in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment.

• Basic mechanical skills and comfort troubleshooting equipment issues.

• Willingness to learn and take on diverse tasks as needed.
