We are seeking an experienced Buyer to join an established organization based in Port Coquitlam. This is a full-time, permanent opportunity ideal for a procurement professional who enjoys working in a fast-paced, high-volume environment and contributing to efficient supply operations.

This role is a new role for a growing company looking to add to their team!

Qualifications & Experience

• At least five years of related experience in purchasing, procurement, or supply chain functions
• Experience within distribution, wholesale, or manufacturing settings is considered an asset
• Strong proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel & Sage
• Highly organized, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and shifting deadlines
• Clear and professional written and verbal communication skills
• Demonstrated ability to perform effectively during busy or high-demand periods
• Proven capability in supplier negotiation and building productive vendor relationships
• References and background screening will be conducted for candidates moving forward in the process

Role Responsibilities

• Coordinate the procurement of operational materials to support ongoing business needs
• Create and manage purchase orders within the ERP system, including monitoring delivery timelines
• Liaise with suppliers to resolve pricing, delivery, or quantity discrepancies
• Negotiate vendor pricing and terms to support cost efficiency
• Build and maintain productive supplier partnerships
• Review supplier performance related to pricing, quality, and service levels
• Monitor inventory requirements and place orders to ensure appropriate stock levels
• Maintain internal purchasing documentation and pricing information
• Ensure all purchasing activities align with company policies and regulatory standards
• Prepare purchasing-related reports and summaries for internal stakeholders as required

• Business hours: 8:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.
• Compensation starting at $50,000+, commensurate with experience
