Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled Billing Specialist to join a dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have 2+ years of billing experience, ideally in a law firm or professional services environment. If you’re detail-oriented, organized, and able to handle high volumes of work, this is the perfect opportunity for you!

Key Responsibilities:

• Process billing for clients in a timely and accurate manner.

• Handle accounts payable/receivable (AP/AR) and account reconciliations.

• Communicate with internal teams and external clients regarding billing inquiries and disputes.

• Generate and review invoices, ensuring accuracy.

• Manage and resolve billing discrepancies or issues.

• Maintain financial records and assist with month-end close processes.

Qualifications:

• Experience: 2+ years of billing experience, preferably in a law firm or professional services setting.

• Technical Skills:

  • Proficiency in billing software; experience with Prolaw is a plus but not required.

  • Bookkeeping experience, including AP/AR and account reconciliations.

  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word).

• Communication Skills: Ability to clearly communicate with internal and external parties.

• Attention to Detail: Strong organizational skills with a focus on accuracy.

• Time Management: Able to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

• Problem-Solving: Ability to resolve billing issues and discrepancies effectively.

• Preferred: Knowledge of legal billing processes and terminology.

• IT background with experience in queries and database management.
