Join a well-established, local electronics manufacturer with over 40 years of experience providing innovative solutions to top-name brands across the U.S. We are currently seeking a Surface Mount Operator (2nd Shift) to support our production team by operating and maintaining Surface Mount Technology (SMT) equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Set up SMT line equipment, including screen printers, stencils, soldering tools, pick-and-place machines, and reflow ovens.

• Monitor, operate, and adjust machinery used in SMT circuit board assembly.

• Use setup process sheets to ensure accurate product builds.

• Load machine feeders according to load lists.

• Verify part numbers to ensure correct components are used.

• Select and initiate proper programs and stencil screens for each job.

• Follow all industry and customer-specific workmanship standards.

• Adhere to work instructions and Quality Management System procedures.

• Perform board cleaning per soldering chemistry requirements.

• Comply with all ESD, board handling, and moisture-sensitive device (MSD) guidelines.

Qualifications:

• 6–12 months of hands-on experience in electronics manufacturing.

• Familiarity with SMT equipment and processes.

• Ability to read and interpret manufacturing documents and part numbers.

• Strong communication skills and a team-oriented mindset.

• Basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office.

• Successful completion of IPC-DVE-64C Component ID and IPC-A-610 Modules 1, 2, 4, 7 & 8 preferred.

• Good hand-eye coordination and the ability to perform repetitive tasks accurately.

• Understanding of basic machine maintenance is a plus.
