A locally owned and operated company in Durango is looking for a reliable and skilled Apartment Maintenance Technician to help keep our properties running smoothly and safely for our tenants. If you're handy, dependable, and take pride in your work, we’d love to hear from you!

What You’ll Do:

• Perform routine maintenance including light electrical, plumbing, painting, and carpentry work

• Clean and maintain common areas (sweeping, mopping, vacuuming)

• Repair toilets, sinks, bathtubs, showers, and drains

• Replace flooring and carpets as needed

• Install and fix wiring, plugs, and light switches

• Oil locks, hinges, gates, and door hardware

• Paint interior and exterior surfaces

• Remove trash and debris from communal areas

• Monitor and maintain fire safety equipment (extinguishers, hydrants, alarms, exits)

• Track supply inventory and schedule specialized repairs when necessary

• Respond to maintenance requests and tenant concerns promptly

What We’re Looking For:

• High school diploma or equivalent

• Previous experience in apartment or facility maintenance

• HVAC, CMRP, or other relevant certifications a plus

• Ability to lift up to 60 lbs (team lift when needed)

• Ability to stand and work for extended periods

• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills

• Good communication and customer service skills

• Willingness to work occasional weekends and be on-call as needed
