Position Overview:
Express Employment Professionals is seeking a dedicated and motivated Warehouse Laborer/Driver Helper to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for a variety of tasks in our warehouse, including assisting with shipping and receiving, inventory management, and providing support to our delivery drivers. This role is essential for ensuring that our operations run smoothly and efficiently while maintaining the highest level of customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist with loading and unloading hardwood materials and products from delivery trucks and storage areas.
• Organize and maintain inventory in the warehouse, including proper storage techniques for hardwood products to prevent damage.
• Perform regular inventory counts and assist in updating inventory management systems.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to safety protocols and company policies.
• Assist in preparing orders for shipment, including packing and labeling of products.
• Operate warehouse equipment (such as forklifts, pallet jacks, etc.) in accordance with safety guidelines and company training.
• Collaborate with team members to meet daily and weekly production goals.
• Provide exceptional customer service when interacting with customers during deliveries.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous experience in a warehouse, manufacturing, or labor position is advantageous but not required.
• Valid driver's license and a clean driving record is preferred for assisting with deliveries.
• Ability to lift heavy objects (up to 50 lbs) and perform physical labor.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Good communication skills with the ability to work in a team environment.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including overtime as needed.
• Basic knowledge of hardwood products and their uses is a plus.
