Salary: $39.50 - $42.50 an hour, DEO

We are currently recruiting for a Mechanic for a large food manufacturer in Coquitlam! This is a Full-Time & Permanent role within their team. Candidates with experience as a Millwright or Mechanic within the industrial manufacturing background would be strongly considered.

Requirements:

• 5+ years of customer service experience, strong asset for leadership roles
• Fluency using MS Suite: Outlook, Excel & Word
• Knowledge base of PLC
• GMP knowledge
• HACCP knowledge/certification would be a strong asset
• Electrical & MIG/TIG welding experience would be a strong asset
• Committed to safety, food safety & quality practices
• Excellent attention to detail
• Food & Goods Manufacturing standard: clean-shaven, no jewellery
• Ability to prioritize tasks & meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• References & BG check will be conducted upon further consideration of a candidate

Duties

• General maintenance of the facility: electrical, construction & mechanical
• Organize maintenance schedules for machinery
• Regular preventative maintenance on machines, equipment & facilities
• Operate hoist & lift devices during installation, setup & repair of machinery
• Install, troubleshoot & maintain power transmission, vacuum hydraulic & pneumatic systems
• Provide emergency repairs to ensure 24/7 availability of services
