Our client, a large wholesale distributor of landscape products, is looking for an Assistant Branch Manager to add to their team! The manager will support the Branch manager in all aspects of store operations including inventory management, team development, customer engagement, and financial performance. This role is ideal for a well-rounded professional with experience in the landscape supply industry and a passion for leadership and operational excellence.

Pay: $75,000+ a year

Responsibilities of the Assistant Branch Manager:

• Foster a positive, team-oriented environment aligned with company policy.
• Assist in onboarding, training, and coaching branch associates. Continue to develop and monitor performance metrics to drive continuous improvement.
• Promote a customer-first culture, ensuring every team member is focused on customer success.
• Lead by example to maintain a safe, incident-free workplace.
• Support safety initiatives through training, organization, and policy execution.
• Collaborate with leadership and field support to implement new technologies and operational strategies.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience of the Assistant Branch Manager:

• Industry Experience: 3–5 years in retail nursery, irrigation, hardscape, lighting, turf, or landscape supply preferred.
• Leadership Experience: 3–5 years in a managerial or supervisory role, ideally in a landscaping company or similar environment.
• Sales Acumen: Ability to identify and pursue sales opportunities with current and potential customers.
• Operational Knowledge: Familiarity with sales and operations planning, accounting fundamentals, and budgeting/estimating.
• Technical Skills: Comfortable with machine operation (e.g., forklifts, pallet jacks) and open to adopting new technologies. Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 pounds.
• Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's Degree preferred.
