Express Employment Professionals is seeking a CNC Machinist for a reputable manufacturing company in the Flathead Valley.
This full‑time role is ideal for someone with strong setup abilities, experience on both mills and lathes, and a commitment to precision, quality, and efficiency.

Position: CNC Machinist – Setup & Operation

Location: Flathead Valley
Schedule: Full‑Time, Monday–Friday
Pay: $22/hr
Status: Full‑Time

What You’ll Do

Setup & Fixturing

  • Perform setups using hard jaws, soft jaws, angle plates, and other holding techniques
  • Demonstrate correct machining methods to ensure best finishes and fast cycle times
  • Apply proper speeds, feeds, clamping, and minimal‑setup strategies
  • Understand job tolerances and setup expectations
  • Complete simple setups within 15–40 minutes, depending on previous runs

Machining & Production

  • Operate both manual and CNC mills and lathes
  • Interpret prints and tolerances accurately
  • Maintain efficiency while producing high‑quality machined parts

Measurement & Quality Control

  • Use height gauges, micrometers, calipers, and go/no‑go gauges
  • Verify part accuracy and maintain high quality standards
  • Apply strong math skills, including fractions and decimals

What You Bring

  • Experience with mills and lathes
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and tolerances
  • Proficiency with measuring instruments and gauges
  • Strong understanding of fractions, decimals, and basic math
  • Ability to maintain quality while meeting deadlines
  • Reliability, attention to detail, and a strong work ethic

Education Requirements

  • Must demonstrate strong basic math skills
  • Must understand fractions and decimals and use them interchangeably

Physical Requirements

  • Must pass a 5‑panel drug test
