Seeking a CNC Machinist for a local Flathead Valley business! If you have strong setup skills, experience with both mills and lathes, and a keen eye for precision, this opportunity is for you.

Work Schedule:

Monday – Friday | Full-Time

Key Responsibilities:

• Setup & Fixturing:

  • Perform setups using hard jaws, soft jaws, angle plates, and other holding techniques.
  • Optimize setup processes to minimize cycle times and ensure best finishes.
  • Properly clamp and secure workpieces for stability and precision.

• Machining & Production:

  • Demonstrate correct machining methods, including optimal speeds, feeds, and clamping techniques.
  • Interpret job tolerances and efficiently complete simple setups within 15 to 40 minutes, depending on prior runs.
  • Operate both mills and lathes confidently.

• Measurement & Quality Control:

  • Read and interpret blueprints and tolerances accurately.
  • Utilize measuring tools, including height gauges, micrometers, calipers, and go/no-go gauges, to ensure precision.
  • Maintain high-quality standards while maximizing efficiency.

Requirements:

• Experience with mills and lathes.
• Ability to read blueprints and interpret tolerances.
• Strong understanding of fractions, decimals, and basic math.
• Proficiency in using measuring instruments and gauges.
• Previous CNC machining experience is preferred.
