CNC/Grinder Operator
Location: Spartanburg, SC
Pay: $25-$28 per hour
Shift: Monday–Friday, 1st Shift

We are looking for a skilled CNC/Grinder Operator to join our team in Spartanburg, SC. As a key operator for our cylindrical grinding machines, you will play a vital role in ensuring the precision and quality of complex parts with tight tolerances.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate cylindrical grinding machines to perform machining operations according to specifications.
• Read and interpret blueprints, stage drawings, and job orders to determine dimensions and tolerances.
• Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Risk Assessment Methods (RAMs), and Health & Safety rules.
• Load and unload workpieces into the machine using hoists.
• Monitor machine operations to ensure parts meet quality standards.
• Make necessary machine adjustments to maintain product quality.
• Inspect finished parts using precision measuring instruments, such as height stands, micrometers, calipers, ring gauges, and gauge blocks.

Requirements

• Proficient in operating CNC grinding machines, particularly with Fanuc or OSP experience.
• Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and practices.
• Familiarity with various types of tooling used in CNC machining.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, stage drawings, and job orders.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with Okuma or Doosan machines is a plus.
• Proficiency in using precision measuring instruments, including calipers, micrometers, and depth gauges.
• Experience with hand tools and other equipment commonly used in machining operations.
