Responsibilities of the Plant Maintenance Tech:

• Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance on machinery, equipment, and facility systems to identify potential issues and ensure optimal functionality.
• Troubleshoot and diagnose problems related to PLC, electrical controls, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems, and implement effective solutions promptly.
• Perform repairs and replacements on faulty components or equipment to minimize downtime and production interruptions.
• Collaborate with the production team to address any maintenance-related concerns and ensure the continuous operation of the plastic fabrication process.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including logs, work orders, and equipment manuals.
• Adhere to safety regulations and company policies to create a secure work environment and prevent accidents or injuries.
• Assist in the installation and commissioning of new machinery and equipment as needed.
• Identify opportunities for process improvement and suggest modifications to enhance equipment performance and efficiency.
• Stay updated with the latest industry trends and advancements in maintenance practices and technologies.

 

Qualifications of the Plant Maintenance Tech:

• Proven experience as a Facilities Maintenance Technician or in a similar role within a plastic fabrication or manufacturing environment.
• Expertise in PLC programming, electrical controls, and troubleshooting electrical systems.
• Strong knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems and the ability to diagnose and repair related issues.
• Proficiency in reading technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics.
• Excellent troubleshooting skills and the ability to work independently under minimal supervision.
• Familiarity with safety regulations and best practices for maintenance and repair work.
• Strong organizational and communication skills to interact effectively with team members and management.
• High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical certifications or relevant vocational training preferred.
