Are you mechanically inclined and enjoy hands-on work? A Springfield-area manufacturer is seeking a skilled Plastics Fabricator Plumbing Assembler to fabricate, assemble, and install industrial plastic and metal components used in production systems and equipment.
This position is ideal for candidates with backgrounds in plumbing, fabrication, assembly, construction, carpentry, manufacturing, or skilled trades.
Pay
- $20.00-$24.00 per hour
- Based on experience and qualifications
Schedule
What You'll Do
- Operate plastic welding, bending, and fabrication equipment
- Assemble plastic and metal components according to specifications
- Install plumbing and piping systems on industrial equipment
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and work instructions
- Inspect completed assemblies for quality and accuracy
- Use hand tools, power tools, and fabrication equipment safely
- Assist with equipment installation, maintenance, and service projects
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
- Travel to customer sites following the training period
Qualifications
- Experience in fabrication, plumbing, assembly, welding, carpentry, construction, or manufacturing preferred
- Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
- Experience with hand tools, power tools, and shop equipment
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Willingness to travel as needed
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Reliable attendance and strong work ethic
Physical Requirements
- Lift and move heavy materials regularly
- Stand, walk, bend, and perform physical labor throughout the shift
- Safely operate fabrication and assembly equipment
- Work in a manufacturing environment while meeting productivity expectations
