Express Employment Professionals is recruiting for a skilled and detail-oriented Bookkeeper for a reputable ranch in the Colusa area. This is an exciting opportunity to join a well-established agricultural business and play a key role in managing its financial operations.

Responsibilities:

• Perform day-to-day bookkeeping tasks, including managing accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR).
• Process payroll accurately and timely for all employees.
• Maintain and reconcile the general ledger.
• Prepare and issue financial reports and summaries for management.
• Ensure accurate and timely recording of all financial transactions.
• Handle tax reporting and compliance related to payroll and operations.
• Assist with budgeting and forecasting as needed.
• Maintain organized financial records and ensure compliance with company policies.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Bookkeeper, preferably in agriculture or a related industry.
• Strong knowledge of AP, AR, payroll processing, and general bookkeeping practices.
• Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks experience preferred) and Microsoft Excel.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in financial recordkeeping.
• Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism and discretion.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Effective communication skills and a proactive problem-solving attitude.
