Job Duties: 

The Logistics Technician provides direct support to the sales team by coordinating the movement of parts to and from customer sites. This role is responsible for monitoring open orders throughout the production process, creating internal orders within the MES system, shelving completed parts, assembling outgoing shipments, and performing general warehouse duties.

The Logistics Technician must be able to accurately identify and differentiate customer parts, navigate the MES system efficiently, and ensure timely and accurate order fulfillment. This position may also require driving company vehicles to transport customer parts.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• Previous experience working with shipping carriers, including DHL, FedEx, and UPS
• Prior experience handling both domestic and international shipments, including preparation of required documentation
• Deliver parts as needed using company vans or box trucks (CDL not required)
• Adhere to all company policies, procedures, work instructions, and SOPs
• Maintain a clean DMV driving record to meet insurability requirements
• Monitor open orders in the MES system to support assembly planning and on-time delivery
• Communicate proactively with production staff to identify and report causes of delays
• Create and manage internal orders within the MES system
• Unpack parts and stage them on carts for movement into production
• Shelve completed parts with corresponding orders
• Pack completed orders for shipment or delivery
• Compile and prepare outgoing shipping paperwork
• Load boxes or cases securely into vehicles for transport
• Perform general warehouse duties and other related tasks as assigned

• Ability to type, write, and perform repetitive motions for extended periods
• Strict adherence to Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) procedures
• Thorough understanding of the consequences of failing to follow operational and EHS requirements

Education & Experience: 

• High school diploma or GED required
• Minimum of 1–2 years of related logistics, shipping, or warehouse experience required
