Are you mechanically inclined and enjoy hands-on work? A Springfield-area property management company is seeking a dependable Apartment Maintenance Technician to perform repairs, preventative maintenance, and resident service requests at a residential apartment community.

This is an excellent opportunity for candidates with maintenance, construction, remodeling, handyman, HVAC, plumbing, or general repair experience. Entry-level applicants with strong mechanical aptitude are encouraged to apply.

Pay

• $20.00 per hour

Schedule

• Full-Time
• On-call rotation every other weekend

What You'll Do

• Respond to resident maintenance and repair requests
• Perform basic plumbing and electrical repairs and replacements
• Repair drywall and patch holes in walls
• Install doors, blinds, fixtures, and hardware
• Complete general apartment maintenance and turnover work
• Use hand tools and power tools safely and effectively
• Perform preventative maintenance throughout the property
• Work both indoors and outdoors as needed
• Maintain professional interactions with residents and staff

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license required
• Reliable attendance and strong work ethic
• Basic maintenance, construction, handyman, or repair experience preferred
• HVAC certification preferred but not required
• Willingness to obtain HVAC certification if needed
• Ability to troubleshoot basic maintenance issues
• Customer service and communication skills
• Entry-level candidates with mechanical aptitude will be considered

Physical Requirements

• Lift and move up to 50 pounds occasionally
• Frequently stand, walk, bend, climb stairs, reach, and kneel
• Work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions
• Safely use maintenance tools and equipment
