Location: East Texas (Field & Office-Based)

Key Responsibilities:

• September - March: Conduct residential appraisals in the field across Texas. You’ll be working outdoors, assessing property values in various weather conditions.
• April - August: Office-based work focusing on property tax protests. Help taxpayers understand their property tax increases, assess their cases, and provide guidance on potential reductions or protests.
• Evaluate and analyze residential properties for accurate value assessments.
• Provide exceptional customer service and professionalism, particularly when de-escalating disputes or answering questions about property taxes.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma required; college education preferred but not mandatory.
• Located within Henderson County.
• Must be comfortable working in Texas weather conditions.
• Tech-savvy, with experience using iPads or similar technology for field appraisals.
• Reliable vehicle for fieldwork (monthly vehicle stipend provided).
• Ability to work in the Texas Elements and comfortable working in individuals homes.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality, professionalism, and a good sense of humor.
• Strong customer service skills, with the ability to calmly resolve conflicts and educate property owners.
