Job Description:
We are looking for a skilled and dependable Alarm System Install/Maintenance Technician to join a growing security services company in Horseheads, NY. In this role, you will be responsible for the installation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of alarm systems for both residential and commercial clients. Key Responsibilities:

• Install, configure, and test alarm systems (fire, burglar, and security systems) at client locations
• Perform regular maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on alarm systems
• Provide excellent customer service during on-site visits
• Ensure all installations comply with local, state, and federal codes and regulations
• Troubleshoot and resolve system issues in a timely manner
• Document work performed and update service records accurately
• Collaborate with the team to ensure efficient and effective service delivery
• Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor at all times

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in alarm system installation or related fields preferred (e.g., electrical, low-voltage systems)
• Strong knowledge of alarm systems, wiring, and troubleshooting techniques
• Ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams and technical manuals
• Basic computer skills for system programming and reporting
• Reliable, self-motivated, and able to work independently
• Strong communication skills and customer-focused attitude
• Ability to lift and carry equipment (up to 50 lbs)
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
