Job Summary:

We are preparing a bench of dependable, detail-oriented Scale Operators to support the upcoming harvest season. Scale Operators play a vital role in accurately weighing incoming and outgoing products, maintaining documentation, and ensuring quality control procedures are followed throughout the harvest process. This position requires accuracy, consistency, and the ability to work in a fast-paced agricultural environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate truck or platform scales to weigh incoming and outgoing commodities.

• Accurately record weights, product types, and lot numbers into logs or software systems.

• Inspect incoming loads for compliance with quality standards.

• Communicate with drivers, harvest crews, and supervisors to ensure smooth traffic and workflow.

• Maintain cleanliness and organization around the scale area.

• Troubleshoot basic mechanical or digital scale issues and report problems to maintenance if needed.

• Adhere to safety, quality, and compliance guidelines at all times.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in agriculture, warehousing, or scale operation preferred but not required.

• Ability to read and write in English; bilingual skills a plus.

• Basic math and data entry skills.

• Comfortable working indoors and outdoors in variable weather conditions.

• Ability to stand, walk, and lift up to 50 lbs as needed.

• Reliable attendance and punctuality are essential.
