Machine Operator – Manufacturing
Location: Kansas City, Kansas
Pay: $19/hour
Shift: 6 AM - 2:30 PM, Monday - Friday; occasional mandatory over-time on Saturday

Express Employment Professionals is seeking a Machine Operator for a growing manufacturing facility. This role is ideal for someone with mechanical aptitude and a strong attention to detail—especially when it comes to measuring accurately.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate production machinery (including Pre-Expander, Mold, Lamination Line, Auto Line, etc.) according to safety and quality standards.

• Accurately read a tape measure down to the 1/16th of an inch to ensure product specifications are met.

• Set up and shut down equipment at the beginning and end of production runs.

• Follow work orders and produce parts with the correct material, weight, dimensions, and density.

• Monitor machines, perform basic troubleshooting, and notify supervisor of issues.

• Maintain cleanliness, safety, and efficiency throughout your work area.

• Train new employees as needed and complete required production logs and labels.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED preferred.

• Must be able to read a tape measure to the 1/16th of an inch—this is a key skill for the role.

• Previous manufacturing experience preferred.

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks for extended periods.

• Strong work ethic, attention to detail, and dependable attendance.

• English proficiency (spoken and written) preferred.
