Express Employment Professionals is looking for an experienced Loading Dock Lead Man to join a Local Company.

Responsibilities:

Lead a team of dock workers, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure tasks are performed effectively and efficiently.
Schedule and assign tasks to team members, adjusting priorities as needed to meet changing demands.
Foster a positive and collaborative work environment, promoting teamwork and morale among dock workers.

Oversee the loading and unloading of shipments, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
Coordinate with drivers for outgoing shipments.
Utilize equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and yard mules to move freight safely and efficiently.

Enforce safety protocols and regulations to maintain a safe working environment for all employees.
Conduct regular safety inspections of equipment and loading dock areas, addressing any hazards or concerns promptly.

Inspect incoming and outgoing shipments for damage, discrepancies, or quality issues, documenting findings as needed.
Ensure that goods are handled and stored appropriately to prevent damage or loss.

Maintain open lines of communication with Logistic Coordinators, the Director of Logistics, and other relevant departments to coordinate activities and resolve issues.
Relay instructions, updates, and directives to dock workers effectively, ensuring clarity and understanding.

Qualifications

Proven experience in a similar role, preferably in a warehouse or distribution center environment.
High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or training in logistics or warehouse management is a plus.
Comfort working in various weather conditions, and physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand, walk, bend, and stoop for extended periods.
