Boat Detailer

Job Summary:
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Boat Detailer to join our team. This role is responsible for cleaning and maintaining the interior and exterior of boats, assisting with lot organization, and ensuring each customer receives a high-quality service experience that reflects the Grandpa’s Marine brand.

Key Responsibilities:

• Detail boat interiors and exteriors, including washing, waxing, polishing, and deep cleaning

• Deliver and move boats to designated locations on the lot or for customer pickup

• Safely move boats ranging from 19’ to 26’ in length

• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the boat lot and shop

• Assist with preparation of serviced boats and support basic technician duties as needed

• Use a variety of shop tools, buffers, vacuums, hoses, and detailing equipment

• Provide excellent customer service with clear, friendly, and professional communication

• Ensure a safe and clean work environment at all times

• Promote a positive team atmosphere and uphold the Grandpa’s Marine brand standards

Detailing Skills:

• Operate buffers, hoses, vacuums, and detailing equipment effectively

• Use cleaning, protective, and restorative products to maintain boat appearance

• Inspect boats and document condition accurately

• Move, park, and position boats properly on the lot

Trailering:

• Ability to safely and efficiently trailer boats

---

Communication & Teamwork:

• Communicate clearly and professionally with customers, coworkers, and management

• Provide honest updates and take accountability for mistakes, with a willingness to learn and improve

• Maintain a positive attitude and contribute to a productive team environment

Requirements:

• Must be at least 18 years old

• Valid driver’s license required

• Ability to pass a background check and drug screening

• Familiarity with boats and basic operation preferred

• Professional appearance and strong customer service skills

• Self-motivated, team-oriented, and able to work independently
