Salary: CA$23.00 - CA$25.00 per hr

We are currently looking to fill the position of Accounts Receivable/Administrative Clerk for one of our clients in Mississauga. 

 

Key Responsibilities:

Accounts Receivable (80%)

· Reconcile customer payment remittances and ensure accurate application of payments.

· Review and balance credits and customer accounts to maintain financial accuracy.

· Prepare and distribute weekly accounts receivable reports.

· Perform cash reconciliation and process bank deposits.

· Upload invoices to customer portals and ensure timely submission.

· Monitor aging reports and follow up on overdue accounts to ensure timely collections.

· Manage credit approvals and maintain accurate credit limits for customers.

· Assist with month-end processes, including AR reconciliations and reporting.

· Respond to customer inquiries regarding account balances and payment status.

· Investigate and resolve short payments, deductions, or chargebacks.

Administrative Support (20%):

· Act as the first point of contact for visitors and incoming calls; manage reception duties professionally.

· Perform accurate data entry for various administrative and accounting tasks.

· Maintain organized electronic and paper filing systems for accounting and administrative documentation.

· Provide administrative support across multiple departments, that could include scheduling meetings, minute taking, and preparing or updating documents.

· Support special projects and departmental needs as required.

 

Qualifications:

· Post-secondary education in accounting or related field preferred.

· Minimum 3 years’ experience in accounts receivable and office administration.

· Experience in a manufacturing or inventory-driven environment strongly preferred.

· Proficient in accounting and ERP software (e.g., Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central, QuickBooks, or similar).

· Strong Microsoft Office skills, especially Excel.

· High attention to detail and accuracy in data handling.

· Excellent organizational and time management skills.

· Critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.

· Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

· Ability to manage multiple tasks in a busy, growth-oriented environment.

Job Types: Full-time, Fixed term contract

Contract length: 6-month contract with potential 
for extension.
