Chemical / Packer - 2nd Shift

Express Employment Professionals in Rock Hill, SC is hiring a Chemical Packer for a chemical manufacturing facility in York, SC. This is a great opportunity for individuals with warehouse, forklift, or chemical industry experience who are comfortable working in a fast-paced production environment.

Position Details  Chemical / Packer 

• Pay: $19.00/hour
• Schedule: Monday-Friday
• Shift: 2nd Shift, 2:30 PM - 11:00 PM
• Overtime: Required as needed
• Work Environment: Very hot warehouse environment
• Required PPE: Steel-toe shoes or boots required

Job Responsibilities Chemical / Packer 

Duties include, but are not limited to:

• Operating a forklift safely and efficiently
• Filling, lifting, rolling, and labeling drums and pails
• Working with hazardous chemicals while following all safety procedures
• Completing required paperwork and documentation for product batches
• Following OSHA standards and safe work practices
• Monitoring materials and inventory as needed
• Maintaining a clean and organized work area
• Performing other warehouse and production duties as assigned

Qualifications  Chemical / Packer 

• Chemical industry experience preferred
• Prior forklift experience preferred
• Basic math and computer skills required
• Knowledge of OSHA standards and workplace safety practices
• Ability to work independently and follow detailed procedures
• Ability to lift, push, pull, and move materials throughout the shift
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety
• Previous experience in a manufacturing or warehouse environment is a plus, but training may be provided for qualified candidates
