Pick & Pack / Warehouse Packer
Location: Westwego, LA
Schedule: Full‑time, Monday‑Friday Compensation: Competitive hourly rate based on experience
As a Pick & Pack / Warehouse Packer you will be responsible for assembling, picking, packing, and preparing orders for shipment. You will work from order sheets or pick tickets, match components, pack orders correctly with high quality standards, label, and ensure shipments are ready.
Read and interpret pick tickets, work orders, component lists or folders; pull correct items and hardware.
Pack orders accurately: select proper packaging, include job/order number, ensure all items are accounted for.
Label, seal and prep packages for shipping; prepare will call orders when needed.
Perform quality control: verify correct quantity, correct part numbers, check that parts/components are in good condition.
Notify supervisors of non‑conformities or issues with equipment, packing material, inventory.
Maintain clean, safe, and organized work area; help with general housekeeping in the warehouse.
Lift heavy items (50+ lbs) safely, stand for long periods, work in environments that may be warm.
High School diploma or GED (or equivalent) preferred.
Basic computer skills (to read work orders, use scanners).
Ability to read part numbers, work with figures and orders.
Attention to detail, good organizational skills.
Physical stamina: able to stand, bend, reach, lift, carry.
Ability to work efficiently, often under time or productivity expectations.
Experience in warehouse, packing, or manufacturing settings is a plus but not always required for entry‑level roles.
