Location: Valparaiso, IN
Pay: $21.00 per hour
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–7:00 PM
Additional Hours: Some Saturdays may be required
Shift Rotation: May rotate quarterly between day shift (7:00 AM–7:00 PM) and overnight shift (7:00 PM–7:00 AM)

Express Employment Professionals is hiring an experienced, dependable Forklift Operator for a privately held wire and cable manufacturing company. In this role, you'll help keep production running smoothly by moving raw materials, production supplies, scrap metal, and finished products throughout the facility.

What You'll Do

• Transport production supplies and materials to manufacturing lines.
• Operate a forklift safely while following all workplace procedures.
• Collect and move scrap metal to designated areas.
• Retrieve materials and products from warehouse inventory.
• Transfer finished wire and cable products to the appropriate departments.
• Help maintain an organized and efficient warehouse and production environment.
• Follow safety procedures and communicate any equipment or material-handling concerns.

Schedule & Pay

• Pay: $21.00 per hour.
• Regular schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–7:00 PM.
• Shift rotation: May be required to rotate quarterly to the overnight schedule of 7:00 PM–7:00 AM.
• Saturday work: Some Saturdays may be required.

Please note: This position requires flexibility to work extended shifts and potentially transition between day and overnight schedules.

What We're Looking For

• At least 3 years of previous forklift operating experience.
• Ability to safely move materials and products in a manufacturing or warehouse setting.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Steel-toed work boots.
• Dependability, attention to detail, and a strong commitment to workplace safety.
• Ability to successfully complete a drug screen and background check.
