An Edmonton client is seeking an Accounts Payable Clerk to join their team.

Accounts Payable Clerk Highlights:

Process 600–700 invoices per month and 200–400 expense claims
Enter and code vendor invoices accurately
Process electronic expense claims and ensure proper documentation
Handle invoices ranging from $100 to $500,000
Send invoices to project managers for approval and enter approved invoices into the system
Review expense claims, forward for approval, or reject if corrections are required
Identify and resolve common issues such as incorrect billing entity, missing approvals, or incomplete documentation
Disburse payments to vendors and employees twice per month
Process payments via manual cheque and EFT (Electronic Funds Transfer)
Handle vendor inquiries and disputes, coordinating with project managers as needed
Set up and update vendor records in the system
Reconcile employee accounts and vendor statements of accounts (SOA) monthly
Support month-end processes, including journal entries for recoveries and closing accounts payable
Collaborate within a team environment, each member supporting a designated company

Requirements:

Previous accounts payable experience in a high-volume environment
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
Strong communication skills for vendor and internal coordination
Experience with accounting systems and invoice processing
Knowledge of AP processes, reconciliations, and month-end procedures

Hours & Wage:

Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
$52,000 – $60,000/year
