We are seeking an experienced and dynamic CNC Shop Manager for a manufacturing company in Hudson, MA. This is a DIRECT HIRE position. This role involves managing the production schedule, assisting and facilitating a team of CNC Machinists, and maintaining effective communication with the operations manager, shipping department, and inspection department.

 

Responsibilities:

• Oversee and manage the production schedule to ensure timely and efficient completion of orders.
• Provide guidance, support, and training to a team of CNC Machinists.
• Serve as the main point of contact between the CNC shop, operations manager, shipping department, and inspection department, facilitating clear and effective communication to ensure smooth workflow and coordination.
• Ensure all parts and products meet quality standards and specifications, collaborating with the inspection department to address any quality issues promptly.
• Monitor and manage shop resources, including tools, equipment, and materials, to ensure they are available and in good condition for production needs.
• Address and resolve any production or personnel issues that arise, implementing solutions to maintain workflow and productivity.
• Maintain accurate records of production activities, schedules, and performance metrics, providing regular reports to the operations manager on production status and any challenges faced.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and best practices, promoting a safe work environment by conducting safety meetings and training sessions.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 10 years of manufacturing experience in a CNC machine shop
• Strong understanding of CNC machining processes, equipment, and materials
• Proven experience in production scheduling, team management, and cross-departmental communication
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
