Diesel Mechanic

Located in Trinidad, TX

Salary: $22-30/hr DOE

Express Employment Professionals is seeking a Diesel Mechanic to join a local company in the East Texas Area.

Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8AM - 5PM

Responsibilities: 

• Run diagnostic tests on diesel engines and heavy equipment
• Analyze diagnostic test results to identify mechanical issues
• Repair and replace heavy-duty diesel engines, steering systems, transmissions, and braking systems
• Inspect and repair machine lighting and electrical systems
• Test drive heavy equipment and trucks to evaluate performance and safety
• Perform preventative maintenance on Peterbilt big rigs and other diesel equipment
• Follow inspection procedures and maintenance checklists
• Maintain accurate and detailed service and repair records
• Ensure cleanliness, organization, and safety of the shop area
• Comply with company policies, safety standards, and DOT regulations

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Diesel Mechanic.
• Strong understanding of diesel engine components and systems.
• Ability to use diagnostic tools and equipment effectively.
• Excellent problem-solving skills.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Good communication skills.
• High school diploma or equivalent; certification from a vocational school or completion of an apprenticeship is a plus.
