Express Employment Professionals of San Bernardino is currently seeking an experienced Maintenance Mechanic for a fast-paced distribution center in Cabazon, CA. We are looking for a hands-on maintenance professional with strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills who is passionate about keeping equipment running safely and efficiently.

This position is responsible for performing preventative maintenance, diagnosing equipment failures, repairing automated production equipment, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives to maximize uptime.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan, lead, and perform preventive maintenance (PM) according to scheduled maintenance programs to minimize equipment downtime.
• Diagnose and complete reactive maintenance on production and distribution equipment to restore operations quickly.
• Perform machine teardown, repair, rebuild, and reassembly of manufacturing and conveyor equipment.
• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and structural systems.
• Maintain and troubleshoot PLCs, Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs), electric motors, conveyors, and automated equipment.
• Identify equipment issues and implement creative solutions to improve performance and reliability.
• Support equipment installations, retrofits, upgrades, and capital improvement projects.
• Communicate equipment status, repairs, and shift updates with maintenance team members and leadership.
• Maintain accurate maintenance documentation and work orders.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Maintenance Mechanic, Industrial Maintenance Technician, Maintenance Technician, or Electro-Mechanical Technician.
• Strong troubleshooting experience with mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
• Experience working with PLCs, VFDs, electric motors, conveyors, and automated production equipment.
• Knowledge of preventive and predictive maintenance programs.
• Ability to read electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals.
• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to work independently while managing multiple maintenance priorities.
• Experience in a distribution center, warehouse, manufacturing, or industrial environment preferred.
