A leading steel fabrication company in Wathena is seeking a Machine Operator to join its team. If you have experience with CNC machinery and enjoy working in a hands-on, industrial environment, this opportunity could be a great fit.

Position Summary:
As a Machine Operator, you’ll be responsible for operating and maintaining CNC and shop equipment used in steel fabrication. This role requires attention to detail, mechanical aptitude, and a commitment to safety and quality in a fast-paced production environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate, program, and maintain CNC and other shop equipment

  • Clean, inspect, and monitor machinery for optimal performance

  • Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications

  • Measure, mark, and stamp steel materials with precision

  • Perform basic math calculations for accurate cuts and measurements

  • Safely handle materials and assist with general shop tasks as needed

Qualifications:

  • Prior experience operating CNC equipment is required

  • High school diploma or GED

  • At least 1 year of experience in steel fabrication or construction preferred

  • Equivalent hands-on experience or technical training will be considered

  • Ability to read blueprints and follow production plans

  • Commitment to safety and quality standards

  • Ability to read a tape measure down to the 16th
