Welder / Fabricator – Custom Metal Fabrication Shop

Located in tigard, OR

We're hiring a Welder/Fabricator for a well-established custom metal fabrication shop with a relaxed, family-owned atmosphere. If you enjoy variety in your work and like building custom projects instead of repeating the same production job every day, this is a great opportunity.

The shop specializes in custom fabrication, so each project is unique. You'll be involved from start to finish-cutting material, preparing parts, setting up jobs, and welding. While most projects change daily, larger fabrication jobs may keep you on the same project for a couple of weeks.

You'll work closely with the Lead Fabricator, with support from the Shop Manager, who reviews blueprints, introduces new projects, and is always available to answer questions.

Responsibilities

• Cut and prepare raw materials for fabrication
• Fit, tack, and weld custom metal components
• Read and interpret shop drawings and blueprints
• Set up jobs and organize materials for fabrication
• Perform MIG and TIG welding on a variety of projects
• Ensure quality workmanship and maintain a clean, safe work area
• Assist with other fabrication duties as needed
