Position Overview

Express Employment Professionals is seeking a skilled and dependable Welder for one of our valued clients. The ideal candidate will have proven welding skills, strong attention to detail, and the ability to produce high-quality fabricated metal parts in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

The Welder will be responsible for interpreting blueprints and work orders, selecting appropriate tools and materials, measuring and assembling metal components, operating welding and cutting equipment, and ensuring finished products meet quality and production standards.

Responsibilities

• Follow all company and workplace safety procedures at all times.
• Perform welding activities on multiple types of materials, including mild steel, galvanized steel, stainless steel, and/or aluminum.
• Set up and safely operate welding equipment and related tools.
• Produce quality metal-fabricated parts according to blueprints, specifications, allotted production times, and quality standards.
• Read and follow instructions provided on work orders, blueprints, and drawings.
• Interpret measurements and welding specifications to ensure accurate fabrication.
• Select appropriate tools, materials, and equipment for assigned projects.
• Measure, align, assemble, and weld metal components according to specifications.
• Use cutting tools and other fabrication equipment as required.
• Drill holes and perform additional fabrication tasks as needed.
• Inspect materials and finished parts for quality and conformance using measuring devices and technical drawings.
• Complete accurate production and quality documentation as required.
• Monitor material and supply inventory and report shortages as needed.
• Keep the work area clean, neat, and organized.
• Report equipment problems, quality concerns, safety issues, or other production concerns to the line manager.
• Follow all health, safety, and environmental regulations.

Qualifications

• Proven welding skills required.
• Must be able to successfully complete and pass a welding test.
• Experience welding mild steel, galvanized steel, stainless steel, and/or aluminum preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, work orders, and technical drawings.
• Ability to accurately measure and inspect materials using measuring devices.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced production environment.
• Reliable, self-motivated, and team-oriented.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
• Ability to safely operate welding, cutting, drilling, and related fabrication equipment.
• Ability to follow safety procedures and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
