Shift: Monday – Friday

8:00AM – 5:00PM

Duties 

  • Maintains knowledge of all applicable leave and accommodation laws including the FMLA, ADA, and state and local laws.
  • Oversees the return-to-work process for employees returning from extended FMLA, workers compensation, or other leave(s).
  • Oversee and administer leave requests and accommodations requiring specialized attention, particularly those arising under the Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA), the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), state and local leave laws, and short-term or long-term disability plans.
  • Ability to manage leaves of absence on a web-based platform in a multi-state regulatory and compliance environment. Responsible for maintaining communications (Client/Supervisor, co-employee, and appropriate internal WSS personnel) throughout the leave/accommodation process to ensure all parties are aware of responsibilities and documentation requirements.
  • Handles the FMLA leave administration process from the employees’ initial notice of the need for leave to the return to work. This includes gathering and completing all required paperwork, determining leave eligibility, designating leave as FMLA-qualifying, requesting medical certification as needed, and accounting for intermittent and reduced schedule leave use.

 

Qualifications

  • Previous leave administration experience, preferably 3-5 years, including using LOA/HRIS systems to manage and track leaves.
  • Previous Human Resource Business Partner experience/ HR Generalist
  • Associate or bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred; HRCI, SHRM, or CBS certification preferred.
  • Ability to assess employee''s needs regarding benefit plans.
  • Outstanding customer service and communication skills
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Detail oriented and flexible with the ability to think/work independently.
