We have an opening for a Press Brake Operator position working at a company located in Tanner, AL that manufactures custom-built products for detention facilities. This is an evaluation-to-hire opportunity with potential for full-time placement.
Skills/Qualifications
Ability to read a tape measure and calipers.
Understand the shop floor safety requirements, PPE and consistently adhere to them.
Mechanical aptitude working in a shop/production environment.
Ability to take initiative, self-motivated.
Must have a command of the English language and good verbal and written communication skills.
Communicate effectively, understand and follow the rules.
Be a team player, work with others to solve problems and improve the process.
Be an effective communicator with peers, management and external stakeholders.
Must be capable of working an entire work week on a consistent basis.
Duties/Responsibilities
Responsible for installation of various dies and punches.
Conduct detailed setup and breakdown of dies and punches.
Conduct assigned work practices with a safety and quality focus.
Maintain a safe, clean and organized work environment.
Complete required business and regulatory documentation.
Be responsible for ensuring facility equipment and inventory levels are accurate.
Participate and actively engage in quality and continuous improvement projects.
Serve as a resource for other employees in troubleshooting and identifying equipment/machine issues.
