 Manual Machinist

Express Employment Professionals in Oregon City is seeking an experienced Manual Machinist to join a growing team! Work for a reputable local Rubber Roller and Rubber Molder manufacturing company. We are looking for a motivated individual who is eager to learn, pays attention to detail, and thrives in a hands-on environment.

Schedule: Monday - Friday, 6:30 AM - 3:30 PM

Pay: $25.50

Location: Clackamas, OR

Responsibilities:

• Set up and operate manual machines to perform precision machining operations
• Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and specifications to determine machining processes
• Select and install cutting tools, fixtures, and machine accessories according to specifications
• Monitor machining operations to ensure accuracy and make adjustments as needed
• Inspect finished products to ensure they meet quality and precision standards
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
• Accurately read measuring instruments down to .0001
• Operate lathes, knee mills, band saws, and various hand tools
• Set up and run jobs assigned by supervisor
• Read and interpret drawings and prints
• Take instructions on or assist in repairs and maintenance around the plant

 

Experience:

• Previous experience as a Manual Machinist or in a similar role is required
• Experience with manual milling machines and lathes
• Strong mechanical knowledge and understanding of manual machining operations
• Proficiency in using precision measuring tools such as micrometers and calipers
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and technical documents
• Strong attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining accuracy and quality
• Knowledge of warehouse operations for inventory management
• Ability to perform welding tasks when requested
